Cooker extraction fan failed, after degreasing and cleaning still the same. Googled the appliance and said check the capacitor but couldn't find one. Found you after internet search and booked an appointment. Kam phoned before he arrived on time and said not all fans have a capacitor after checking for it. Inspected and tested the motor an found a broken wire on the motor windings decided to get a new motor and was fitted when it arrived tested and good to go. Happy days.

I was expecting the worst as there seemed to be an electrical fault in our dishwasher which might have proved final and require a new machine. The engineer who came the day after I called and as early as possible, traced the fault to a faulty earth in a pretty inaccessible socket behind another machine. He advised me on the use of the machine and gave me a few tips. I was impressed that he was equipped to trace a fault that was not even in the machine. Much relief all round!
